Lester R. Hudson, 73, of 210 Broadway, died yesterday in Memorial Community Hospital after a long illness. Born Aug. 10, 1893, in Kingsley, Iowa, he married Belle Mattice Oct. 14, 1928, in Waukegan. She died in 1963. An Edgerton resident since 1927, he was a foreman at the Highway Trailer Industries, Inc., and retired in 1959. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion Ralph Amundson Post 30 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Obert Furan, Edgerton; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Burial in Fassett Cemetery.
